31 Faces of Fear: Luna Vachon

For the month of October, we are going to run through some of our favorite wrestlers that inspire fear in their competitors and fans alike.

The daughter of Paul “The Butcher” Vachon and the niece of another Face of Fear “Mad Dog” Vachon, Luna was from the famous Canadian wrestling family that doesn’t have a dungeon.  You wouldn’t know it from watching any of the Vachons, especially Luna.  She was hard hitting, punk rock, and bizarre.  Her trademark

She started with fellow Faces of Fear alum, Kevin Sullivan, in his demonic stable.  In 1993, she replaced “Sensational” Sherry as HBK’s manager.  The alliance didn’t last long and she soon found herself managing Bam Bam Bigelow, leading to a tag match against Doink and Dink at Wrestlemania X.

She went away for awhile and then returned to manage The Artist Formally Known as Goldust.  It’s still one of the most bizarre things ever on TV.

She married another Face of Fear, Gangrel, in the late 90s.  They divorced in 2007 but remained friends until her death.
