31 Faces of Fear: Seven
For the month of October, we are going to run through some of our favorite wrestlers that inspire fear in their competitors and fans alike.
After leaving the WWF in mid 1999 for WCW, Dustin Runnels needed a new gimmick. WCW creative came up with Seven, a creepy white-faced character based on “The Strangers” from the film Dark City. That’s about where it ended. TBS’s Standards and Practices thought the vignettes caused Seven to appear as a child abductor. He quickly dropped the gimmick live and became the first Rhodes bother to adopt The American Nightmare moniker.
