31 Faces of Fear: Paul Bearer

For the month of October, we are going to run through some of our favorite wrestlers that inspire fear in their competitors and fans alike.

The keeper of the urn.  The manager of the Undertaker, Kane, and Mankind.  Paul Bearer might be a little campy but he’s super memorable and weird.

The portly man is most closely associated with The Undertaker.  He kept and controlled the Undertaker with a mysterious urn that wielded some otherworldly power over The Dead Man.  When his relationship with Taker turned sour, he threatened to dig up his past, a half brother that didn’t survive the fire that The Undertaker set himself.  His allegiance would shift between the two brothers before disappearing off of WWE TV in 2004.

He passed away in 2013 and was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014.  The Undertaker himself made a rare appearance at the ceremony to acknowledge his longtime friend and sometimes enemy.
